For my future employer I think a resume' would be the best genre to use. A resume' tells your employer what your qualifications are and what you have already experienced. It also tells them why you want the job that you're applying for. With this in mind, I have found three examples of resume's.
Example 1
This example uses the proximity principle well. Everything is labeled and then grouped together with other things that compliment it as it should be.
Example 2
This example uses the alignment principle well. However, I didn't really like that she tried to kind of jazz it up with the designs in the corners. It makes it look a little unprofessional.
Example 3
This example uses the repetition principle well. It bolds the headings of all of the sections. I also liked that he put a bold line under his contact information. It shows that the information presented above the line is separate from the information that is presented underneath the line.
For my own example I would use a little of each of these examples, but I wouldn't use the tactic in the second one where she tried to make her resume' interesting. I feel that resume's are supposed to give future employers a sense of professionalism from the writer of the resume'. However, I did like that she put a picture of herself on the resume', even though it wasn't a very professional looking picture, it could help them to put a face with her name and remember her better, so I might employ that tactic as well.
